West Coast Oral Surgery offers the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery utilizing state-of-the-art technology and pain management techniques to expertly remove wisdom teeth, place implants with precision, and perform skillful dental extractions in addition to sophisticated maxillofacial surgeries such as jaw and facial reconstruction. Our doctors are trusted by dental industry peers to care for their own children and loved ones with the most difficult of cases. We are the first office in San Diego to utilize X-Guide by X-Nav Technologies for 3-D guided dental implant placement.
The industry leading X-Guide® surgical system paired with Cone Beam 3D imaging allows us to provide our patients with the most accurate implant surgery. With X-Guide Navigated surgery, we utilizes live, 3D views of anatomy – it’s like real-time directions during your procedure to place the implant exactly where it should be. This means minimally invasive surgery thanks to smaller incisions, and therefore less pain, faster recovery, and ideal functional and aesthetic results.
In an effort to provide our patients, especially children, with opioid-free pain relief options we are one of the few dental offices to use Exparel® the long-lasting, non-opioid analgesic to provide effective post surgical pain relief for up to three days eliminating the need for opioids after most surgeries!
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) creates scans of tissues in addition to bones & teeth. We can zoom in on the scan, rotate it and view it at any angle, and even look through scans at different depths. This scan can visualize teeth, roots, gums, bones, nerves, airways and how all of these structures relate to each other. 3D x-rays give a better, more accurate picture and require less radiation than traditional x-rays. These precise 3D images help us identify potential problems and design highly customized treatment plans to keep your teeth healthy.
